- Arrive in Shimla and begin the mountain drive towards Sarahan, with a breakfast stop around Kufri or Narkanda to ease into the hills and enjoy the first views of the journey.
- Continue through winding mountain roads and changing landscapes before reaching Sarahan. Check in to your hotel or homestay, freshen up and take some time to relax.
- Later, step out to visit the revered Bhimakali Temple, one of the most important landmarks of Sarahan, and spend some time exploring the peaceful lanes of this small Himalayan settlement often called the Gateway to Kinnaur.
- Return to your stay in the evening, settle in for a warm home-style dinner and unwind after your first full day in the mountains.

- Begin the day with breakfast before setting out on a long and scenic drive towards Tabo, as the landscape gradually shifts from the greener Kinnaur region into the stark, high-altitude terrain of Spiti.
- Stop at Khab Sangam, where the Spiti and Sutlej rivers meet, and take in one of the most striking viewpoints along the route.
- Continue towards Nako, a quiet Himalayan village surrounded by rugged mountains. Take a short break here for lunch and some time to explore the surroundings.
- En route, visit Gue Village, known for its ancient naturally preserved mummy and its remote setting close to the Indo-Tibetan border region.
- Arrive in Tabo by evening and check in to your hotel or homestay.
- If time and daylight permit, visit the historic Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest continuously functioning Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayan region, and spend some time experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of the village.
- End the day with a warm dinner and rest after the long mountain journey.

- Start the morning with breakfast and leave Tabo for Kaza, following the dramatic winter landscapes of the Spiti Valley.
- Make your first major stop at Dhankar, a striking mountain village known for its cliffside monastery and panoramic views over the valley. Spend some time exploring the surroundings before continuing the journey.
- Head towards Langza, one of Spiti’s most fascinating high-altitude villages, known for its fossil-rich landscape and the iconic Buddha statue overlooking the mountains.
- Continue further to Komic, a remote Himalayan settlement surrounded by vast snow-covered terrain and some of the most dramatic views of the day.
- From here, make your way to Hikkim, famous for its high-altitude post office. If operations are open, this is a great place to send a postcard from the mountains.
- By evening, arrive in Kaza, check in to your homestay, freshen up and relax after a full day of exploring Spiti’s high-altitude villages.
- End the day with a warm home-style dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in Kaza.

- Start the morning with breakfast in Kaza and head out for a relaxed day exploring some of Spiti’s most iconic nearby places.
- Visit Key Monastery, one of the valley’s most important Buddhist monasteries, set dramatically above the Spiti River. Spend some time walking through the monastery, taking in the views and understanding a little more about life and Buddhist culture in the region.
- Continue towards Kibber, a beautiful high-altitude village surrounded by rugged Himalayan terrain. The broader region is also known for wildlife such as Himalayan ibex, red foxes and the elusive snow leopard, although sightings are never guaranteed.
- Next, stop at the famous Chicham Bridge, connecting the villages of Kibber and Chicham across a deep gorge. Take some time here to enjoy the landscape and capture a few memorable photographs.
- Return to Kaza by evening and keep the rest of the day easy. Relax at the homestay, wander around the local market if time permits, or simply enjoy a slow evening in the mountains.
- Wrap up the day with a warm home-style dinner and an overnight stay in Kaza.

- Continue towards Kalpa, known for its beautiful views of the Kinnaur Kailash range and its quiet mountain setting.
- Visit the popular Roghi viewpoint and, if time permits, spend some time walking through Kalpa village, exploring its traditional lanes, monastery and temple area.
- Check in to your hotel and take the evening at an easy pace.
- Spend the final mountain evening relaxing with your fellow travellers, followed by a warm dinner at the hotel.

- Later, board the overnight vehicle for Delhi and settle in for the final leg of the journey.
