Jibhi

Mini Thailand of India

Himachal Pradesh · 3 days / 2 nights

Overview

There’s something about the mountains that almost everyone responds to. Some people head for a cool hill town, others lace up their boots for a long trail, but the reason is usually the same: spending time in nature clears the head. Away from deadlines and noise, stress eases and energy returns.

Two places in Himachal Pradesh capture this feeling especially well: Jibhi and Tirthan Valley.

Jibhi is a quiet village in the Banjar Valley, about 2,100 meters (roughly 6,900 feet) above sea level. Its pace is slow, and it makes an easy escape for anyone who needs a break from city life.Tirthan Valley lies in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Its height changes as you move through it, with villages and trails ranging from about 1,500 meters (5,000 feet) up to nearly 2,700 meters (9,000 feet).
